Buderim Residence

This award winning executive residence situated on the northern face of the regions prominent hillside responds to the majestic vista from ocean to hinterland.  The residence has two main pavilions linked together with a series of open planned spaces with generous volumes responding to the vista.  These areas connect to outdoor spaces with a barbeque pavilion and pool as focal points.

The internal and external areas are connected seamlessly with generous door openings.  Small water features are used internally and externally ensuing calming qualities and areas for contemplation.

Generous roof overhangs and considered louvre placement take advantage of the region’s prevailing breezes.  These secure louvres allow sufficient cross ventilation alleviating the reliance on air conditioning and allowing the house to breathe at night or while the family is absent.
